The First Meeting of the UNITWIN Project in Lisbon

The meeting took place at the leading university, Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon (Portugal), which is the coordinator of the project. During December 8–12, 2025, the meeting participants discussed the implementation of the project. The UNITWIN project is dedicated to strengthening the competencies of learners and company employees in the context of the Twin Transition, namely the green and digital transition in corporate management.

The first meeting of the new UNITWIN project, which brings together five universities from Ukraine and three from Portugal, Spain, and Sweden, was aimed at developing a detailed project implementation plan in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission. The consortium participants recognized the success of the Virtual Inclusive Campus (VIC), developed within the AFID project, as a strong foundation and a core tool for achieving the objectives of the UNITWIN project.

The National Project Coordinator from Ukraine, Vice-Rector of the State University of Trade and Economics, Professor Anzhelika Herasymenko, held a productive discussion on identifying employers’ needs for additional workforce training with a focus on the Twin Transition.

The leaders of the creative teams of the UNITWIN project presented the consortium participants with presentations on the partner institutions and their capacities for project implementation.
A representative of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Professor Roman Shuliar, presented the UNITWIN project website to the meeting participants, as well as the project logo and a detailed dissemination plan for the project results for the next three years.
